July 12, 1956 – August 8, 2026
With great sadness, the family of Deborah (“Debbie”) Jane Meloche (née Simonds) announces her passing on August 8, 2026, in Moncton, NB.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Alain; daughters, Jennifer, Christina and Katherine; sisters, Patty and Linda; brother, Rob; grandsons, Cameron, Weston, Jack, Henry, and Miles; and many other cherished friends and family. She is predeceased by her brother, Fred.
Debbie, 70, was born in Saint John, NB. For 35 years, she dedicated herself to the safety and wellbeing of her community as a dispatcher for 911 and the Moncton City Police, where she was known for her professionalism, strong work ethic, and unwavering support of her team members. At home, she was known for her caring heart and her gift for finding joy in life’s small moments.
Debbie loved animals, especially dogs, and cherished time spent out in nature. She often traveled with friends from her walking group — and their dogs — to photograph the landscapes of New Brunswick. She never missed a chance to get out for a stroll and take in the beauty of the world around her.
A time to gather and share memories of Debbie will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home & Fergusons Crematorium, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Wednesday, August 12th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
