It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cathy MacDonald, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother and vibrant spirit, who passed away peacefully at the age of 65.

Cathy was the heart of her family – a hardworking and dedicated mother who balanced life’s responsibilities with strength, grace and unwavering love. She took immense pride in raising her children and later found her greatest joy in her granddaughters, who were the light of her life. Whether sharing stories, laughter or quiet moments, she created memories that will be treasured forever.

Beyond her family, Cathy had a passion for life that was truly contagious. She loved to travel, always eager to explore new places and experience different cultures. From nearby getaways to faraway adventures, she embraced each journey with curiosity and excitement. She also found joy in dancing, rarely missing an opportunity to move to her favorite music, bringing energy and

warmth to every room she entered.

Cathy will be remembered for her resilience, her kindness and her ability to make others feel loved and welcomed. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, joy and deep family connection.

She is survived by her loving husband Jack MacDonald, children Alex (Laurence) MacDonald, Kyle (Trish) MacDonald and her adored granddaughters, Chloé and Léa MacDonald, her father Robert Coren, brother Rob (Dawn) Coren, aunt Janice Ninos and many friends who will miss her dearly. She is also predeceased by her sister Christine Sarsfield and mother Ruby Coren.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 1:00 pm from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton (506-858-1995). Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
