October 16, 1958  –  June 6, 2026

Catherine Irene Bitcon, 67, of Moncton, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Born in Toronto, ON, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Joan (Talbot) Gaudet.

Cathy grew up in Toronto, Ontario where she met the love of her life, Brian at 14 years old. Without hesitation she followed Brian through several moves across Canada to support him in his career, which involved a lot of traveling. This resulted in Cathy managing the household and the kids (including a very busy sports schedule) many times on her own, leaving Brian to never have to worry about what was going on at home. They had many adventures over the years, including raising three kids, traveling Europe and other parts of the world, spending time with their grandkids, and golfing together. She loved her family and spent her life looking after everyone and making sure they had enough to eat. Cathy was loving, generous, and had a firecracker of a personality that will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 46 years, Brian Bitcon, children Christy, Cory and Brendan; grandchildren, Brooke, Daphne, Ness, Avery and Layla; sister Diane Doherty (Rick) and brother Bill Gaudet (Sue); special friend and mother of her oldest grandchild, Amanda Dixon; her dog Bernie; and her fur grandbabies, Archie and Molly.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 11, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, followed by a brief service (5:00-5:30) at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton NB (506-858-1995).
