1932 – 2026

The family of Arthur William Tait sadly announces his passing on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at the age of 94 years.  

Arthur was born in Oxford, NS, he was the son of Norman and Doris (Gould) Tait.  

Arthur is survived by his son, Michael of BC and daughter, Susan in Ontario; his granddaughter Autumn of BC; his siblings Floyd Tait and his wife Pauline of Moncton as well as several nieces and nephews.  

Arthur was predeceased by his wife Marion; his parents, and sisters Carthel “Sue” Mullins and Norma Goguen. 

Arthur spent most of his life in Ontario and British Columbia. He was very fond of fishing and many large salmon ended up on his dinner table.  He loved to travel and spent alot of time in his motor home enjoying the country with Marion.  In his later years he was a resident of a special care home where he liked to help others. However he did take a short surprise jaunts around the city on his scooter and had to be picked up several times by staff and brought back to the home. He is fondly remembered there by many of the residents with much laughter.  

There will be no funeral service as per Arthur’s request.  

Interment will be in Harriston, Ontario where he will be laid to rest with Marion. The family suggests that donations in memory of Arthur could be given to someone in need the way he would have done or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
