1947 – 2026

Andrew Hollis Hoar of Riverview passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, February 13, 2026.  Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Hannibal and Ida (née Firlotte) Hoar.

He retired from CN following a career of over 32 years. Andrew started as a brakeman working his way up to conductor; during tenure he was stationed in Campbellton, Moncton, and Edmundston regions.  He travelled to Europe and twice to the Philippines.

He will be missed by his son Andrew (Romina), beloved partner Anita Boudreau, sisters Mary Stokes and Carol Mann (Ian), brother Vernon (Judy), grandchild J-cee, little dog Mika who was always at his side, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Aside from his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Lois, Fern, Stephen, Dorothy, and Avis.

Respecting his wishes cremation has taken place at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007).  Interment will take place in Quebec at a later date.  Donations made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
