Nurses Concerned About Violence

The New Brunswick Nurses Union is working with the provincial health authorities to come up with a policy on how to deal with patients who get out of control.

The President of the New Brunswick Nurses Union Marilyn Quinn says nurses are looking for more than lip service because being subjected to violence in the workplaceshould not just be part of the job.

Quinn says for years it was considered just part of the job but that’s not acceptable because it can lead to post traumatic stress disorder.
