Not Much Change In NB Gas Prices

Not as big of a dip at the gas pumps overnight as predicted.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board made its price adjustment at midnight, and gas prices dipped just 0.4 cents a litre.

Most stations in Moncton are selling for around 107.9 this morning.

Senior petroleum analyst Dan McTeague with Gasbuddy.com feels gas prices should be dropping, due to the amount of oil that has been produced this year.

He says if we do see price increases the next few weeks, it’s purely financial speculation. It has nothing to do with supply and demand.

As for other prices, diesel increased by 1.0 cent, furnace oil is up by 0.9 cents a litre, and propane dipped by 1.0 cent.
