Normal Mail Services For Provincial Government Resuming

The provincial government says normal mail delivery is resuming.

That comes after Canada Post pulled their notice of lockout yesterday.

The Crown Corporation and Canadian Union of Postal Workers have agreed to continue negotiations without the threat of a lockout or strike.

Service NB Minister Ed Doherty says as long as no service disruptions notices are made, normal mail and parcel delivery services from the government will continue.

He adds they have contingency measures in place just in case.

The government will continue to monitor the situation.

New Brunswickers can access up-to-date information at any time on affected services and alternative delivery methods on the Canada Post service disruption web page and by calling Service New Brunswick TeleServices at 1-888-762-8600.
