No World Record, But Networking Event Still A Success

It wasn’t a world record, but the Hub City Young Professionals Network has no regrets in attempting it.

They were hoping to beat the Guinness Record for the Largest Speed Networking Event.

890 people gathered at the Moncton Coliseum yesterday morning to help.

President Patrick Richard says even without the record, they accomplished everything else they had hoped for, “We connected the community, we had people from all different walks of life. We had job seekers, students, newcomers, business professionals, established professionals, retirees, community members and elected officials. The attitude of everyone there, the vibe of the room was more than we could have expected. People were super engaged and super positive, willing to share and so attentive to the other person.”

They needed over 1068 people to beat the record.

Richard says at this point, he’s not ruling out another attempt, “I’d say there is a pretty good chance of us attempting something similar in the future, for sure.”
