The next time NB Power seeks an increase in electricity rates, there will be no intervenor whose job it would be to represent residential electricity users.
Carolanne Power had applied to have NB Power pay her costs in presenting evidence and making submissions on behalf of the residential rate class.
The Energy and Utilities Board decided it didn’t have the jurisdiction to allocate additional intervenor funding. There is already an intervenor who acts on behalf of the public at large.
