New Face At Helm Of WorkSafeNB

WorkSafeNB has a new chief executive officer and president after the position was vacated nearly a year and a half ago.

Douglas Jones has been appointed to the role.

He was most recently the deputy city manager for Edmonton and before that he was a senior vice-president with Canada Post worked in executive roles in Lafarge North American in Canada and the U.S. He is originally from Nova Scotia.

He starts the new gig on March 26 and succeeds Gerard Adams. WorkSafeNB’s vice-president of Corporate Service has been covering the position on an acting basis since October 31, 2016.
