The Town of Riverview has hired a new Chief Administrative Officer.
Colin Smith replaces David Muir, who will be retiring in January 2015 after 23 years with the Town.
Smith will assume the responsibility of overall administrative planning, coordination and control of the activities and business affairs of the town.
Smith is originally from Riverview and his career has largely focused on government and public administration in a variety of areas including finance, policy development and implementation, corporate planning and compliance.
He most recently worked the Director of Risk and Assurance with Atlantic Lottery Corporation.
Mayor Ann Seamans says Smith’s experience and progressive leadership will be extremely beneficial to the Town of Riverview.
Smith will begin his new role next month.
