New Brunswick Adds Advanced Care Paramedics In Four Centres

The provice will be rolling out a pilot program to introduce Advanced Care Paramedics in four New Brunswick centres.

ACP’s can give patients different medications that can stop a seizure or a heart attack in its tracks.

Health Minister Victor Boudreau says this announcement is about 12 years in the making with the Gallant Liberals the fourth government to talk about wanting to introduce advance care paramedics.

He says they are establishing pilot project sites in Saint John, Moncton, Bathurst and Edmunston.

The province currently has 52 advanced care paramedics.
