The company says it’s charging 25 dollars for the first bag you check for travel within Canada and between Canada and the U.S.
The move takes effect for all flights that are booked as of today for travel on or after October 29th.
International destinations will not be subjected to the new cost. The airline claims that the added fee is expected to affect approximately one in five WestJet passengers
