National Energy Board Chairman Peter Watson telling the Regional Chamber of Commerce that the NEB needs to do a better job of being transparent and allowing the general public to have a better understanding of the process surrounding the Energy East Pipeline project.
Watson says public hearings will be held and dates will be chosen within the next few months, adding they always try to be fair, responsible and efficient in their review processes.
He says they also want to make sure all voices are heard.
Watson also spoke about the schedule changes involving the Energy East project, and says the uncertainty around the schedule is due to the fact TransCanada is listening and responding to the feedback they’ve received from the community.
