The provincial NDP Leader is saying the Gallant government is being cowardly for not telling people what their plan is for a carbon tax.
Jennifer McKenzie says the environment minister Serge Rouselle has told the house he will re-purpose the gas tax to fund programs for climate change.
McKenzie says the Gallant Liberals are instead waiting for their federal counterparts to bring in a carbon tax plan and then hit the people of the province with their own.
The NDP Leader says the provincial government should be concentrating on a greener economy rather than having to bring in a carbon tax.
