Farmers Truck Closing To Focus On Providing Fresh Local Food To Schools

The Farmers Truck business is closing.

A notice on its website states that the company will transfer its focus on getting local food into New Brunswick schools.

The team is joining forces with a new cooperative called Cooperation in Agri-Food New Brunswick, which is mandated to bring local food to all schools in the province.

They’re hoping this new partnership will mean they will be better equipped to execute this mission on a larger scale.

The Farmers Truck launched in 2015, with a mobile market during the summer season. The online store was launched to make local fruits and vegetables more accessible year round.

They will officially be closed effective Monday next week.
