NBers Urged To Be Aware Of Scams and Investment Fraud

As October Investor Education Month wraps up, the Financial and Consumer Services Commission (FCNB) is reminding New Brunswickers to be wary of any potential schemes or forms of fraud which may be circulating.

FCNB spokesperson Erin King urges you to head to their website to keep up with the latest developments.

“We issue fraud alerts and sometimes if we hear something that is going on such as an invesment scam, we will issue those out and they will go directly to your email box,” she says.

King adds if New Brunswickers understand current scams and inform themselves, they will catch them before parting with their hard-earned money.

The FCNB website also includes information on protecting seniors from financial abuse, cybersecurity, pyramid schemes and more.
