Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Bill Fraser says the provincial government will not be re-visiting their decision to shut down the Gagetown ferry.
Fraser calls it a “tough decision that was made through the Strategic Program Review”.
He says “it will cost a significant amount of money to replace that vessel, over five million dollars”.
Fraser adds the Gagetown Ferry had very low ridership numbers.
A Potluck Dinner was held at the Legion in Gagetown last month that raised almost 4 thousand dollars to help save the ferry.
