New Brunswick border checkpoints at the Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia boundaries are coming down today.
Peace officers have been in place at the border since March when the pandemic began.
Now officers will not be stopping residents of the Atlantic Travel Bubble and instead they will be concentrating their efforts at the Quebec and international borders.
In other new COVID-related measures being introduced today, NB Liquor is mandating all customers to wear a mask at all locations provincewide.
The same rule does not apply to Cannabis NB stores – at least for now.
Meantime, New Brunswick’s all-party cabinet committee on COVID-19 meets today.
Premier Blaine Higgs hinted this week that changes could be coming to public health guidelines.
