As Mount Allison students head into the end of the semester and towards final exams, they are being given an opportunity to de-stress.
University Mental Health Educator Karen Geldart says it’s about reminding students to take time to look after themselves, by eating properly, resting, and having a little fun.
She says one of the most popular activities is dog visits from Therapy Tailblazers.
“Who come in with their therapy dogs, I’ve been here a few semesters now, and they’ve joined us each of the semesters and honestly the event is all about the dogs,” says Geldart. “We offer other events to keep students occupied and busy while they’re waiting for their turn.”
Those events include everything from a drum circle, to origami, to chair yoga, and how to make your own stressball.
The Stress-Free Zone takes place between 3 – 6 on the first floor of the Wallace McCain Student Centre.
The puppies will be on campus Tuesday! Great line-up for the Stress Free Zone @MtAmentalhealth https://t.co/z5rQ7r1ADq
