The 12th annual Mosaiq Multicultural Festival is being held today and tomorrow in downtown Moncton to celebrate the region’s growing cultural makeup.
The Multicultural Association of the Greater Moncton Area (MAGMA) and the City have partnered to bring another weekend lineup of international cuisine, music, dance and more.
The World Village is centered around City Hall Plaza with food vendors, arts and crafts and various cultural groups represented.
Event Coordinator Danielle Leger says a Syrian group will appear tomorrow featuring traditional dance to help celebrate the arrival of hundreds of Syrian refugees in recent months.
Music on the international stage today and tomorrow will feature folk, reggae, latin and R & B.
