Moose Sex Project Receives $50,000 From TD Forests

A $50,000 grant being given to the Nature Conservancy of Canada from TD Forests to build on a project promoting cross-border romance between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia moose.

That’s according to the group’s Andrew Holland who explains the Moose Sex project, which started around three years ago, is about bringing up the moose population in Nova Scotia where they are endangered. New Brunswick on the other hand has a healthy moose population.

The Conservancy has been working to conserve land in the Chignecto Isthmus which is a land corridor between the provinces. They currently have over 2500 acres protected and Holland says this money will go towards project costs.
