The mayor of Moncton says we are very fortunate to live in one of the most prosperous areas of New Brunswick.
In a year end interview, George LeBlanc has always said that Moncton punches above its weight.
Leblanc says the Hub City will have a chance to showcase itself to the world in 2015.
“We have many of the opportunities that much bigger cities have. We also have the FIFA Women’s World Cup in June which is the world’s biggest sporting event for women and we will be sharing that in Moncton with other large cities like Vancouver and Montreal.”
LeBlanc says he remains optimistic that Magnetic Hill will play host to a major concert in the summer.
He adds one of the biggest challenges the city is now facing is far less equalization funding from the province compared to previous years.
