Moncton will host the very first Canadian Under-18 Boys and Girls Curling Championships next year.
Matches will be co-hosted by Curl Moncton and the Superior Propane Centre.
Local curler Wil Robertson says this will give young curlers a great opportunity.
“We have Under-21’s and now we have Under-18’s, so it is a little easier for us to get on a national stage right now. So I’m very excited and I think it wll be a wonderful event,” he notes.
Moncton is no stranger to hosting curling events – the world men’s curling championships were held in 2009.
The Under-18 Canadians Championships will be held from next April 18 to the 22.
