The Moncton Fire Department says it’s investigating two possible cases of arson in the north end of the city.
The pair of small blazes in outbuildings were lit within an hour of each other at properties on Oakland Avenue and Atkinson Avenue last night.
Platoon chief Dennis Dollemont tells us fire crews managed to douse the flames before they got out of hand or cause any damage, but the situation could have been dangerous.
He says an accelerant was used to start both blazes and they’re being treated as suspicious.
There were no witnesses.
