Moncton Snow Removal Crews Get Ready For Storm

Public works crews with the City of Moncton have been preparing for weeks for the first snowstorm of the season.

Supervisor Mayhew Lloy says the crews are ready but there’s some work that needs to be done before the snow arrives.

“First we’ll be going out with salt this evening… probably putting down a bit of pre-wet salt in some of the areas.”

About 45 street plows will be out when the snow begins to accumulate.

Lloy says crews will have several days of work ahead of them, making sure that the streets and sidewalks are plowed.

He adds they’ll have to also haul some of the snow away.
