The City of Moncton is one step closer to having a permanent memorial installed for the RCMP officers who lost their lives last June.
Cultural Development Officer Roxanne Richard has announced 5 artists were on a shortlist to produce a concept design.
Two of them are from New Brunswick, with the other three from Ontario, British Columbia, and Newfoundland.
Richard says the artists will all present their designs to the public on the evening of May 20th.
All five artists work in a variety of mediums, including one who specializes in bronze work.
The five are as follows:
Morgan MacDonald of Newfoundland
Peter Powning of New Brunswick
Byers Harrison Studio of New Brunswick
James C. Smith of Ontario
Illarion Gallant of British Columbia
