Moncton Man Killed In Ontario Crash

A Moncton man in his late 20’s has died in a highway crash in eastern Ontario, about 130 kilometres northwest of Ottawa.

Ontario Provincial Police say a 66-year-old man was driving a pickup truck heading westbound on Highway 60 when his vehicle struck the guardrails and rolled into a ditch early Sunday morning.

His passenger, 27-year-old Jeffrey Poirier, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Poirier was not wearing a seatbelt when the truck crashed.

The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
