A 42-year-old Moncton man has been charged following a drug trafficking investigation in the community.
Codiac RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) began an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs in the Moncton area in January.
On June 21, police carried out a search warrant at a home on Seaman Street.
Officers seized quantities of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, Benzodiazepine, hydromorphone, drug trafficking equipment and cash.
On June 27, a Moncton man appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking hydromorphone
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on July 25.
