Moncton Man Admits To Trying To Help Marissa Shephard Evade Police

A 22 year old Moncton man was sentenced to nine months behind bars, less time already served, and a year on probation after a surprise plea in Moncton court.

Stephen Nagle pleaded guilty yesterday to being an accessory after the fact to first degree murder… He admitted to trying to help Marissa Shephard evade police.

He was arrested along with Shephard on March 1st near a Moncton hotel.

Shephard is facing charges of first degree murder and arson in connection with the death of 18 year old Baylee Wylie.

His body was found after a fire in Moncton home on December 17th.
