Momentum is building in downtown Moncton according to Mayor Dawn Arnold who is reflecting back on 2016.
Arnold says many residents have been preoccupied by construction of the downtown centre and other developments taking place on ancillary lands around it.
In the last few weeks alone, Arnold adds major funding announcements from senior levels of government for Trans Aqua wastewater treatment upgrades and for a bridge to replace the causeway have only added to the excitement.
Arnold adds a big goal of city council has been to create density and vibrancy in the downtown and watching various projects come to fruition has led to a banner year for Moncton.
