The MLA for Charlotte-Campobello is not happy about the closure of the operating room.
John Ames tells us he is just floored at the decision. “As far as Horizon’s decision to close the operation of the surgical program now, I’m very disappointed in that and I do not support it. I don’t support the closure of the operating room at all.”
Ames says he knew there would be problems when issues arose about surgeons and doctors in our area, but as far as the decision by Horizon Health, he was unaware this was happening now.
He adds he is hopeful that the Health Authority, with the community and the Charlotte County Hospital, can work together to restore the service.
