Miramichi Man’s Disappearance Considered Suspicious

Miramichi Police are urging anyone with information on the disappearance of Brandon Martin to come forward.

In a recent video, Deputy Chief Brian Cummings says the case is now being investigated by their Criminal Investigation division.

“Brandon Martin’s disappearance is considered suspicious and we believe there are members of the public who have vital information,” Cummings says.

Cummings says they are being assisted by the New Brunswick RCMP and that there remain to be a number of leads and tips to follow up on.

The 21-year-old was reported missing by his family on May 30th.

A ground search and rescue operation has since been conducted within Miramichi and the Miramichi shorelines were also searched.

Police say Martin associates with some individuals in the area who are involved in drug activity and has struggled with drugs in the past.

Anyone with information should contact the police.
