A 50-year-old Minto area man has been arrested in connection with a house fire in the community.
Mounties arrived at the fire on Pleasant Drive in Minto shortly after 11 o’clock Tuesday night.
Police say they quickly discovered the fire was deliberately set.
The man has been released on conditions and will appear in court to face charges in early January.
The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Meantime, the Red Cross is assisting the family of three (two men and a woman) who lived in the home with emergency purchases of food and clothing.
They are staying with relatives for the time being.
