The Purple Knights Legacy Campaign will soon be launched to help raise money for Moncton High School’s new artificial turf field.
The province has already announced $750,000 and the City of Moncton is pledging the same amount in their 2019 budget.
Sheila Cameron who chairs the Parent School Support Committee says the fundraising campaign will be seeking $500,000.
“The community has been really supportive. Moncton High has great alumni. We’re hopeful that reaching out to them and helping them to see that although the location has changed, the spirit hasn’t,” she notes.
Cameron says Moncton High has great students who play phenomenal sports at the top of their division and deserve support from alumni and the community to make their high school years the best they can be.
