Remembrance Day was an important day to reflect, on the risks that others have made to keep us safe.
Moncton Mayor George Leblanc says, “To those who serve and protect our community and country, we are truly fortunate to live in a country as free and as prosperous as Canada. We will forever be grateful for your dedication and courage and your strength.”
New Brunswick’s Premier Brian Gallant also took a moment to pause and remember the sacrifices made by men and women on this Remembrance Day.
He says, “We’re very proud of our historic relationship with the Army and the RCMP, whether it is air bases or using our Ports, to help many of their efforts, whether it is CFB Moncton or CFB Gagetown.”
He says it is an unspeakable sacrifice that we should celebrate not only on Remembrance Day, but on each and every day of the year.
Beausejour MP and Government House Leader Dominic Leblanc also honoured our veterans.
He has spent the past 15 years as a Member of Parliament, and he has had the chance to meet many in uniform who make great sacrifices everyday, “One of the most remarkable experiences, is getting to know hundreds and hundreds of women and men who serve either in the RCMP or in the Armed Services. Every one of those experiences has been rewarding and moving.”
