Residents of Greater Moncton are concerned about water quality at beaches in the Shediac Bay area according to a new poll by Corporate Research Associates.
The results come after a summer of water quality issues with several days deemed not suitable for swimming at Parlee Beach and Murray Beach.
On a scale of 1 to 10, the average rating of concern for respondents was 7.7.
Two-thirds were very concerned while 40 percent were extremely concerned with a rating of 10 out of 10.
CRA polled 400 adults in Greater Moncton over a recent three week period.
