The Heart and Stroke Foundation has come up with a “FAST” way to remember the major signs of stroke.
Dr. Patrice Lindsay says the awareness campaign highlights what you should look for and includes the Face, Arms, Speech and then reacting.
She says the T in FAST is for time adding its very important to call 911 right away and get that person help as fast as possible.
Dr. Lindsay stresses acting quickly can mean the difference between life and death as well as full recovery and lasting disability.
