Jury Trials Postponed Due To COVID-19

Jury members will be off duty until further notice.

Following recommendations from federal and provincial health officials, the Court of Queen’s Bench will adjourn all scheduled jury trials until May 12th.

Justice Minister and Attorney General Andrea Anderson-Mason says the government supports this decision as we believe this step supports the goal of slowing or preventing the spread of COVID-19.

She says the decision will ensure no one is put in the difficult position of deciding to protect their health of fulfill their legal obligation.

Sheriffs are contacting jurors to advise them of the changes.
