The Correctional Service of Canada is reporting the assault of an inmate at a New Brunswick prison.
Staff at Renous Pentitentiary found an inmate around 8:30 yesterday morning, apparently the victim of an assault.
He was immediately evaluated by staff, and sent to an outside hospital for treatment.
Blackville RCMP are investigating the incident with the help of staff at the institution.
No one else was injured but the Correctional Service of Canada is still going ahead with a review of the circumstances.
