Residents and organizations in the tri-community area are invited to attend an information session focusing on the Syrian Refugee Crisis.
Held from 6:30 to 8 at Edith Cavell School on November 12th, several local partners and experts will provide key information on the process to welcome refugees to our community.
Moncton Mayor George LeBlanc says residents have expressed a desire to help those in need, and this session will help answer questions on how and where they can provide assistance.
Jean-Pierre Alexandre is the executive director of MAGMA, and he says our community is showing tremendous heart by opening its doors to those most in need.
Alexandre adds MAGMA is ready to use it’s three and a half decades of experience integrating refugeees in order to provide much-needed advice and support to anyone who wants to be involved.
