A disturbing story emerging in the Maritimes.
Police say the body of an infant has been found outside a church on Prince Edward Island.
The unidentified newborn was not alive when found yesterday afternoon outside of a church in Mount Albion.
Police say they are concerned the person who delivered the child may need medical attention.
They are hoping the person reaches out for help.
An autopsy is being conducted.
