Helicopter accident in Sussex under investigation

One person is dead after a helicopter crash near Sussex.

RCMP say it happened on Saturday near the Sussex Airport.

A request was received from JRCC Halifax for assistance in searching for a missing helicopter with one person on board.

It was a Robinson R-44 helicopter travelling from Fredericton Airport to Sussex Airport.

The helicopter was located early Sunday morning, and the pilot was deceased.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has deployed a team of investigators to help determine the cause of the crash.
