Halifax Hurricanes Slip By Moncton Miracles In First Game Of Season

Another season of basketball is underway for the Moncton Miracles, and no one is more excited than Deanna Steeves. She is known to the players as Mama Dee, and she is also the Founder and President of the Miracles booster club.

She says if you haven’t checked the team out yet, you don’t know what you are missing, “There are still a lot of people out there who don’t know we have a professional basketball team in the city.. There is amazing scoring, amazing defense and high calibre talent who play on this team. I’ve been a fan since day one. I have missed one and a half games, and we are now into our sixth season.”

The Miracles dropped their first game of the season this afternoon 98-93 to the Halifax Hurricanes. Their homeopener at the Moncton Coliseum will be held December 28th against Cape Breton.

Steeves says the booster club will be there, “With bells on and wearing their orange in the stands nand ready for another exciting season of basketball.”
