It only took about an hour out of their day, and when it was all over, blood donors were glad they took the time to give the gift of life.
The annual Guns and Hoses blood drive was held yesterday at the Canadian Blood Services office on Mapleton Road.
97 units of blood were collected, surpassing their goal of 64.
