The Green Party’s education platform includes a proposal to tax sugar laden soft drinks with the money generated to be poured back into the school system, in part, to make sure no student goes hungry.
Provincial Green Party leader David Coon also wants teachers to have more of a role in developing education policies and restore teaching of the trades in middle and high schools.
Coon also proposes the establishment of an outdoor education curriculum to promote healthy lifestyles and expand arts programs, including music.
