New Brunswick has a moral responsibility to reduce its carbon footprint. So says David Coon who will become the first Green Party M-L-A in the history of the province.
Coon says climate change is why, in part, he’s calling for an outright ban and not just a moratorium on shale gas development.
He will also press for big changes in forestry, saying if the mills were required to buy their wood from private woodlots, a thousand jobs would be created right off the bat.
