Greater Moncton Home Prices Set New Records

Greater Moncton had an influx of new home listings in May according to the latest monthly real estate update.

Greater Moncton Realtors president Mike Power said May had the highest number of newly listed properties in a single month since 2016.

Power noted the region remains a sellers market but it has cooled down from last year’s astronomical highs.

While other boards are seeing a slowdown in sales, Power said the number of homes sold was the highest monthly total since last June.

The overall composite benchmark price of a home in Greater Moncton set a new record last month at almost $341,000 – a nearly 36 percent jump year over year.

The highest overall composite benchmark price in the region was in Dieppe at roughly $388,000.
