Students at Samuel de Champlain can’t believe their classmate, 13 year old Gabriel Comeau, who was a cadet, died suddenly while at C-F-B Greenwood attending a basic fitness and sports course.
One of his friends, Julie Maillet says she will remember his awkwardness, which she describes as cute and miss telling jokes to eachother.
Fellow cadet Paul Tremblay is still in a state of shock, describing his late friend as a great student and a good guy who wanted to join the cadets ever since he was just six years of age.
The Student Council President at Samuel de Champlain, Olivia Kul says Gabriel was a friend of her brother and her friend as well. She says he had a promising future ahead of him.
The school, which is described as being close knit, held a private gathering last night for students and their families.
